3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazole is combined with Chromium(VI)­ oxide, is a valuable reagent for oxidation of primary and secondary alcohols to carbonyl compounds. It reacts with malonic esters gives a family of cross-conjugated monomeric betaines. It is a common reagent for the preparation of pyrazolato ligated complexes. It is also used to prepare N-1-substituted derivatives having antibacterial activity.

Aplicaciones
El 3,5-dimetil-1H-pirazol se combina con óxido de cromo(VI)­. Es un valioso reactivo para la oxidación de alcoholes primarios y secundarios a compuestos de carbonilo. Reacciona con los ésteres malónicos para dar una familia de betaínas monoméricas conjugadas de forma cruzada. Es un reactivo común para la preparación de complejos ligados de pirazolato. También se utiliza para preparar derivados N-1-sustituidos que tienen actividad antibacteriana.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua y 0,1 g/ml de metanol.
