2-Phenylimidazole is used to prepare complex compounds with ruthenium(III) and also as an intermediate for agrochemical, pharmaceutical and specialty products. It also finds its application as a curing agent for epoxy resins and polyurethane.

Aplicaciones
El 2-fenilimidazol se utiliza para preparar compuestos complejos con rutenio(III) y también como intermediario para productos agroquímicos, farmacéuticos y especializados. Asimismo, se aplica como agente endurecedor de resinas epoxídicas y poliuretano.

Solubilidad en metanol (casi transparente).
