2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate is used in UV-curable inks and coatings. It is also used in adhesives, artificial nails, dental materials and lacquers. In dentistry, it is one of the main volatile acrylates along with methyl methacrylate. Further, it is used as a monomer in the synthesis of polymers for dental prosthetics and for geotechnical grouting in construction work.

Aplicaciones
El metacrilato de 2-hidroxietilo se utiliza en tintas y revestimientos secables por UV. También se utiliza en adhesivos, uñas postizas, materiales dentales y lacas. En odontología, es uno de los principales acrilatos volátiles junto con el metacrilato de metilo. Además, se utiliza como monómero en la síntesis de polímeros para prótesis dentales y para la inyección geotécnica en obras de construcción.
