o-Vanillin has been used to study the solvent-free reaction between o-vanillin and p-toluidine using NMR, DSC and XRD analysis. It was used in the synthesis of new ligand for Fe(III) and Al(lII). It is also used in the study of mutagenesis and as a synthetic precursor for pharmaceuticals.

La o-vainillina se ha utilizado para estudiar la reacción sin disolventes entre la o-vainillina y la p-toluidina mediante análisis de XRD (difracción de rayos X), DSC (calorimetría diferencial de barrido) y RMN. Se utilizó en la síntesis de nuevo ligando para Fe(III) y Al(lII). También se utiliza en el estudio de la mutagénesis y como precursor sintético para los productos farmacéuticos.
Solubilidad
La solubilidad en metanol es casi transparente. Soluble en alcohol, metanol y dioxano (1 g en 10 ml). Insoluble en agua.
Notas
Sensible al aire. Almacenar lejos del aire y de agentes oxidantes. Mantenga el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar fresco, seco y bien ventilado.
