2-Ethylhexane-1,3-diol is used in organic synthesis and can be used to produce polyester resin, polyester plasticizers, polyurethane resin. It is also effective vermifuge to mosquitoes.

Aplicaciones
El 2-etilhexano-1,3-diol se utiliza en la síntesis orgánica y se puede utilizar para producir resina de poliéster, plastificantes de poliéster, resina de poliuretano. También es vermífugo eficaz para los mosquitos.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua (42 g/l a 20 °C). Soluble en alcohol y éter.

Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantener el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Los recipientes que se abren deben volver a sellarse cuidadosamente y mantenerse en posición vertical para evitar fugas. Es higroscópico en la naturaleza.
