2,7-Naphthalenediol is a reagent used in the preparation of monomers of high carbon materials. Also used in the synthesis of splitomicin analogues. Used as Starting material for the synthesis of sulfonic acids and divinylnaphthalenes. It is also used in making dyes, pigments, fluorescent whiteners, tanning agents, antioxidants, and antiseptics.

Aplicaciones
El 2,7-naftalenodiol es un reactivo utilizado en la preparación de monómeros de materiales con alto contenido de carbono. También se utiliza en la síntesis de análogos de la esplitomicina. Se utiliza como material de partida para la síntesis de ácidos sulfónicos y divinilnaftalenos. También se utiliza en la elaboración de colorantes, pigmentos, blanqueadores fluorescentes, agentes de bronceado, antioxidantes y antisépticos.
