Aplicaciones
El 1-n-butilo-3-metilimidazolio hexafluorofosfato se utiliza como disolvente en la cromatografía de gases de espacio libre y la cromatografía de contracorriente, como fases móviles y estacionarias. Se utiliza ampliamente en síntesis orgánica, tecnologías de extracción, electoquímica y catálisis organometálica bifásica.

Solubilidad
Miscible con diclorometano, cloroformo, acetato de etilo. Inmiscible con agua, éter dietílico y hexano.

Notas
Higroscópico. Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantener el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes.
