1,3-Diphenyl-1,3-propanedione, is a minor constituent of licorice found to inhibit mammary tumorigenesis, lymphomas, and leukemias in mice. It acts as a heat stabilizer& antitumour agent. It is used in perfumery and as well as in organic synthesis.

Aplicaciones
La 1,3-difenil-1,3-propanodiona, es un componente menor del regaliz que, además, inhibe la tumorigénesis mamaria, los linfomas y las leucemias en ratones. Actúa como agente antitumoral y estabilizador de calor. Se utiliza en perfumería y en síntesis orgánica.

Soluble en éter, cloroformo e hidróxido de sodio acuoso. Insoluble en agua.
