1,3,5-Benzenetricarbonyl chloride was used in the synthesis of chiral azoaromatic dendrimeric systems. It was used to study the structure of activated composite membranes containing organophosphorus extractants as carriers. It was the starting material for two tritopic amides derived from 3- and 4-methylaminopyridine which self-assembled into nanoballs on treatment with palladium(II) nitrate in DMSO.

El cloruro de 1,3,5-bencenotricarbonil fue utilizado en la síntesis de sistemas dendrímeros azoaromáticos quirales. Se utilizó para estudiar la estructura de las membranas compuestas activadas que contenían extractantes organofosforados como portadores. Fue el material de partida para dos amidas tritópicas derivadas de la 3-metilaminopiridina y la 4-metilaminopiridina que se autoensambló en nanoboles en el tratamiento con nitrato de paladio(II) en DMSO.
Solubilidad
Soluble en cloroformo (10 % soluble, de transparente a ligeramente oscura, de incoloro a amarillento) y tolueno. Solubilidad en agua: Reacciona.
