1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoro-2-methyl-2-propanol is used as a solvent. It is used in the preparation of volatile sodium yttrium and zirconium fluoroalkoxides. It is also used in the synthesis of precursors to per- and polyfluoroethers.

Aplicaciones
El 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-metil-2-propanol se utiliza como disolvente. Se emplea en la preparación de itrio sódico volátil y fluoroalóxidos de circonio. También se usa en la síntesis de precursores de perfluoroéteres y polifluoroéteres.
