• Forskolin is a diterpenoid and cyclic ketone, found naturally as a plant metabolite
• It is a protein kinase A agonist and a cyclic ketone • Forskolin is an antihypertensive and muscle relaxant; it can also promote the release of pituitary hormones and prevent platelet aggregation
Application
• Forskolin assists in neuron differentiation in vitro
• Useful for studies of cell metabolism and development; there is some evidence of its usefulness in the study of glaucoma
• It is intended for cell culture and biochemistry applications
