Beta-site APP-cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1), recombinant mouse protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in analysis of protein structure. In general, recombinant proteins can also be used as an immunogen, as a protein standard, or in cell biology research applications.- Activity: Measured by its ability to cleave a fluorescent peptide substrate Mca-Ser-Glu-Val-Asn-Leu-Asp-Ala-Glu-Phe-Arg-Lys(Dpn)-Arg-Arg-NH2, cleavage of this substrate can be measured using excitation and emission wavelengths of 320 and 405nM, respectively; the specific activity is >2pmole/min./μg
- Formulation: Lyophilized in 140mM NaCl, 2.7mM KCl, 10mM Na2HPO4, 1.8mM KH2PO4, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.02% Tween 80
- Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2mg/mL or lower; aliquot and use as soon as possible
